Meet Amber
Hi, I am Amber. I aim to empower families during this pivotal time with emotional, informational, and physical support. Growing up with 4 older sisters and countless extended family members, I was constantly surrounded by love and support. My large family laid the groundwork for my views on the importance of a strong support system.
During my studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I discovered my love for birth as a volunteer at the Carle Foundation Hospital's Maternity Ward. In college, I also had the opportunity to witness a live birth - which solidified my views about being a support person.
I love the opportunity to be a reliable teammate during all the wonderful shared experiences after the baby is born. I am a relationship builder to the core and aid to cultivate that bond between mother and baby. I am always eager to share knowledge, resources, and tips to birthing people, aiding them in building their families. When I am not helping families bond with their babies, I spend time with my husband. I am working toward learning as much as I can to provide the best quality of care to all my clients. Some of my favorite hobbies are dancing, drawing, and baking.
