Sokana Collective is a birth justice organization dedicated to empowering Black, Brown, and marginalized communities throughout all phases of fertility, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and lactation. Co-founded in 2021, Sokana Collective operates with two core focuses: direct services and the training academy.

The direct service branch provides culturally competent, compassionate care to individuals and families, ensuring they receive support tailored to their unique needs during their reproductive journeys.

The training academy equips birth workers with the knowledge, skills, and advocacy tools necessary to provide equitable and inclusive care. Offering comprehensive training programs, including the Full Spectrum Doula Course, the academy emphasizes cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed care, and health equity, preparing doulas to make a lasting impact in their communities.

Rooted in a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment, Sokana Collective strives to create a supportive and equitable landscape for all birthing individuals and families.
