Meet Janina

Janina is a labor and postpartum doula trained and certified through Gifted Hands International. Her journey into this life’s work began at a very early age with personal experience as a teen mom and not having the support she needed. Janina says that “I knew that through my experience, I was chosen to provide support, education, and empowerment for families.”

Janina's skillset during labor allows her to connect deeply with families and allows families to feel relaxed and calm throughout their labor, birth, and postpartum.

Janina sees childbirth as an incredible miracle and has been around babies and families her entire life. The natural power a birthing person possesses gives them the ability to build a life inside them and then help it enter the world is remarkable.

Janina and her husband are the proud parents of 9 children, the most recent being “Irish triplets,” who is now 15 years old. She has a soft spot for families of multiples. Janina notes that her ability and expertise allow families to bond with the newest addition to their family while she provides support in breastfeeding, cooking, cleaning, and running errands. Janina understands what families need to feel supported, safe and secure. Janina will jump in to meet their needs even before they know they have them!

Janina always has compassion, empathy, and a solid nurturing spirit to make families feel supported and confident during this amazing transition.

Janina is a lifelong learner in her first-year studies as a Midwifery student. Janina plays the drums, spends time in her garden, and loves to eat and travel.
