Meet Marneshia
Hello! My name is Marneshia, and I am a full-spectrum doula specializing in labor and postpartum support trained and certified through Sokana Collective.
I began this journey of working with children and families at the age of 13, where I started working in a childcare center. There is where I gained my passion to provide education, help, support and empowerment to children and families. I have been working in the Early Childhood Education field for over 10 years. I have worked as a childcare teacher, trainer, director, education specialist and an advocate for pregnant teen mothers.
I am a well-rounded educator and lifelong learner who is passionate about transitioning into this line of work because I want to help aid, educate, and support birthing parents, their families, and their babies physically and emotionally through birth and/or the postpartum period.
I’ve decided to become certified as a doula to help birthing parents feel safe to advocate and empower themselves to create the birth they want for their child. I want to be a service to my community in the best way that suits the family during their birthing experience.
Aside from working in postpartum and labor, I work in Early Childhood Education as a Quality Assessor for a nationally accredited Early Childhood Education organization. When I am not supporting children and families, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hanging out with my family and friends, traveling, and watching a good movie series on Netflix.
I am looking forward to working with you and your family to help create a beautiful birthing experience. You can reach me at preciousrubiesdoula@gmail.com.
