Meet Rashidah

I’ve been in women’s health over 30 years. I first served as a birth doula early in my career but at the time, I didn’t know it was my calling. Many years working full time in different roles in various settings in women’s health, I’ve witnessed the need for advocacy countless times. Whether officially or unofficially, I’m always the “doula” in the room. I’m a Lamaze certified childbirth educator and IBCLC. I believe with knowledge and support, women can do . . . .

When I’m not caring for parents and new babies, I enjoy ‘going’ on vacation ( not planning them), buying arts and craft supplies (for projects I rarely finish), taking cooking classes (one day I’ll be a better cook), and spending time with family and friends.
